Echo is a Yoga teacher who grew up in Leicester, now lives in London after spending several years living in Europe. Her introduction to yoga was the iconic hot yoga at the age of 14. Since then she has explored, learnt and shifted to a more personal style of practice.
She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching for nearly 8 years, her style of yoga has become one of self expression and self discovery.
The sequences are inspired by various trainings and linages she has explored but without the rigidness of rules. In her classes, it is more of what feels right rather than what the book says is right. Poses and transitions are explored in creative ways and helping students build trust in themselves.
Having trained in Hatha Raja Vinyasa, Yin, Rocket, Ashtanga, Hot Yoga, Pregnancy and Yogasana and additional trainings in Sound Healing, Thai Massage and Reiki, her classes are inspired by difference roots with the idea of the same outcome. Ultimately reconnecting with the true self.
Often describes as of a naughty yogi, there is playfulness, truthfulness and human experience in Echo’s classes. Knowing the true self and the ‘yoga self’ are not separate. Echo often explores bringing yogic lifestyle and philosophy into the modern world and encourages a balance of this and that. Not this or that.
Having a meaningful practice doesn’t mean giving up societal obligations and satisfactions and incorporating yogic principles into the everyday will inspire a prolonged and progressive practice rather than short bursts of the I love yoga/I gave up yoga cycle many go through.
Echo is inspired by many people from different avenues and tends to avoid the idea of Gurus, however a mantra she is inspired by is Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo - to bow to the Divine teacher within.
